Republicans' credo is "the end justifies the means". They don't care what illegal immoral actions it takes as long as it gets done. Especially when it comes to getting everyone else deep throat christianity like they have. The right doesn't care about bigotry and double standards. It's not just okay if their politicians lie and do bad things, it's expected and supported. Compared to that, the left is definitely more aware of their own politicians misdeeds, and actually punishes them.
If you want examples, just look how long it took the right to remove Santos from his position - and even then the majority tried to keep him in his position.
