Suggestion for a nice File manager?

As title, I just need a simple file manager, open source and with minimal permissions.. anything good you think I should try?

Edit: can someone ELI5 to me why almost every file manager needs full network access and to see wifi connections? There must a reason..

This one is really nice. I still use solid explorer but I've been trying to switch to this one

Uhm...

Just "manage all files" because it is... a file Manager

Do you really want an explanation?

Android permissions are confusing though, I already asked GrapheneOS devs to add more granular permissions but it turned out its not needed.

Internet permissions suck, but needed for remote SMB shares etc.

All the file access is of course because it is a filemanager, same as with "query all apps"

Foreground app and wakelock are to prevent Android killing stuff like Archive actions I guess, so it is necessary.

Little File manager Explorer works well. Not real pretty, but it exposes the actual folders and does actual cutting or copying.

You meant Little file explorer? It seems what I was looking for, simple and without useless permissions..

I've been using "simple file managerpro" for some time. Also simple gallery (from same developer), it's great!

LOL bad timing on that recommendation. They just got bought by a company that puts ads in everything. Supposedly there's already a fork called Fossify though.

If I understand GPL licenses correctly, I think they have to keep the original FOSS. They're just going to make it FOSS with shitty ads.

(Disclaimer: I might not understand GPL)

FYI, that suite of apps may be headed for a change of ownership.

You reached the end
