OrbStack: a Docker Desktop alternative for MacOS
OrbStack is a fast, light, and simple way to run Docker containers and Linux machines on macOS. You can think of it as a supercharged WSL and Docker Desktop alternative, all in one easy-to-use app.
I just caught wind of this and have yet to try it. Does anyone here have any experience with OrbStack that they can speak to? 👀

Looks cool. Shame it isn't open source and they are not releasing the public commit history for their kernel modifications.
I'd love to see a fully foss alternative to Docker Desktop (and podman isn't really that quite yet...)

Ohh, didn't know that was a full docker desktop replacement. Thought it was a purely k8s thing. Will check it out.
I just tried it out today and wow- it starts up instantly. Now I'm curious to see the resource usage compared to Docker Desktop.
