Is the Lemmyverse currently getting slammed right now or are third party apps all bugged?
Having a hard time posting and commenting on Lemmy at the moment. Not just here but on other instances too. The problem is mostly happening with third party apps all of which keep giving me timeout messages constantly when making new submissions. Sometimes things go though but more often than not they don't.
I'm using the website directly at the moment and hoping to heck this post even makes it though.
The reddit 3rd party apps are all shutting down and many of them seem to be directing users in this direction so there's probably going to be a big crunch as everyone tries to figure out how tf this site works.
This is what I figured but wanted to know for sure.
'Slammed' makes it sound so violent. Let's instead say that Lemmy is being kissed by sweaty multitudes, many with tongues, and not always on the mouth.

Might have spoken too soon, even the website itself is pooping it's dacks. We might have just gotten the Reddit hug of death.

Yeah, I tried using wefwef and everything was so slow to respond. I thought it was an issue on my end but I'm assuming instances were not ready for this new influx of people. My account on a different instance works with no problem and I set up my own wefwef instance to not get rate limited like the official one does.
Experiencing the same thing. I've even tried to sign up to a couple of instances I found and never got confirmation emails either :(

Site is inaccessible for me for about a few minutes, at one hour intervals if I had to guess. I'm way off, and/or exaggerating a little bit.
