With the Texas Rangers winning the 2023 World Series, the Atlanta Falcons are now the oldest American sports team to never win a league championship
The falcons were founded in 1966 and have never won a Super Bowl. While the Cardinals, Lions, Titans, Chargers, Browns, Bills and Vikings are older and have never won a Super Bowl, all won at least one AFL or NFL title before the 1970 AFL-NFL merger.
For anyone who hasn't seen it, secret base did a deep-dive series on the falcons. Legitimately one of the most entertaining things I've ever watched.
