Our neighborhood has a 25 mph speed limit. And youngsters routinely drive 85 to 95 mph through it. One neighbor kid was hit so hard by car, he lost his legs. Another one is now on life support. A third one was hit last year and is no longer able to speak or feed himself. A fourth one was hit a few days ago and lost his life. Two kids were killed by speeding drivers last week, the driver not paying attention at all. Yet still people drive at almost 100 mph on our streets. Yesterday a construction worker was run over by a speeding driver right across the street. This is what humanity has become.
