With a desk, bed, and large server rack, I have very little space in my room. Power wise it's all mostly idle with the 4U being a NAS/backup and the 1U prolient server is my sandbox so it's mostly off when I don't have time to mess around with it. Other stuff in there for storage cuz I don't have room any where else.

Seconds? I'm not sure, but the power draw isn't that high since I don't run the dl360p often
I need it due to frequent thunderstorms that make power pulse on and off.

I have a monitor there cuz I can't fit it into my closet and I use it whenever I F**k something up to the point I can't SSH in to it
No IPMI on those machines?
Nah, I mean I rarely check up on them, I have been so busy these past few months with work that I don't have time to mess around or expand my servers.

What are you using to support that 1U server seperating rackmounts from the traditional towers?
On the new server I couldn't afford rails so I bought a rack mounted shelf.
In old server, the hp prolient dl360p is long enough to sit on the edges on both sides
