I disagree. I think chain fast food is safer than eating at a random restaurants. These franchises usually have schooling associated with them that ensure the procedures are within regulations. There is so much data available that the logistics side is pretty solid. The cooking process is also so organized and simplified that messing up is harder.
Many regular restaurants and diners hire the same kind of staff as fast food places. But chances of upper management/owners not knowing what they are doing is much higher.

If I go to a place where I have to pay real money for the food and get food poisoning, then its not part of the deal. Fuck those guys, dont hire dickheads and charge me $24 because its "gourmet" AND give me food poisoning.
