Mechanic idea: punish arrogance
Hey so I had a funny idea for a hidden mechanic which punishes arrogance: Touching the amulet without using the crown or Tengus mask should unleash destructive energy from the amulet, instantly killing the user.

If you made it that far without using either I don't think it counts as arrogance. If anything, you could do dying in demon halls without using the crown for example
