I'm not familiar with homestuck but did read a lot of Order of the Stick, where one villian is completely fine with being the bad guy who is to be defeated. In fact, he relishes it, and hopes the story of him being taken out makes him a legend. He craves the tropes.ink explaining it, and why I mentioned Homestuck:
