Finally went with Acer Nitro 5
Hi, I've recently put some posts asking what laptop should I buy. I got some quality advice, so thanks for that guys. I've finally bought (well, paid, it's not reached yet) the acer Nitro 5.

I know the battery is shit, planning to check the thunderbolt port to use an external power bank. But other than that the specs seem awesome, the reviews also say the same. There's just no other deal that gives a display like this with the specs. I hope the build quality is good, I've bought an external extended warranty, so the risk is minimised (I hope).
What do you guys think? This is my first gaming laptop. Is there anything I should do first on receiving? Any ideas how to extend the provided battery's life? Is Win10/11 better for this hardware? Can I use it for like the next 4 years?

A 100W one should be able to power it for lighter tasks, right? Won't be gaming on the power bank.
I don’t mean capacity, but having the required power delivery to even charge in the first place
This might be a bad estimate but the laptop needs 280W but this random list for example only goes to 100W

I have a PC that comes with a 300w charger. I can charge off a 100w GaN charger so long as my power profile is on battery saver. I’d expect the same for OP.

I've got an older Nitro 5 which has served me well the past 4 years. Build quality is great compared to most other laptops I've had. Mine has no problem running Linux.

Mine should have a 3070ti so ut should have no excuse for NOT running DOOM.
It's generally okay with the big games of 2020, so probably.
