this guy has the best line work, it reminds me of someone else's style but I can't quite place it.
all his comics are golden.
A bit like Shel Silverstein.
Yes, Shel Silverstein is close, but there's something about the sketchiness of it that reminds me of like some kind of horror drawings I remember from being a kid, but I couldn't place it. I don't remember Goosebumps books having quality art, so I don't know what I'm thinking of. I want to say Edward Gorey, but I know that's not right. I wish I could place it!
Man. Those books really fucked me up as a kid. Nightmares for years. I heard they re-released them with new artwork, as so many people had complained about how soul-scarringly terrifying the original illustrations were.
That's it I think. Great linework there too, but not as similar as my mind was telling them they must be. Interesting.
I was thinking a mix of Gahan Wilson and Ralph Steadman.
I like them because of how different they are. They're humorous without always having a distinct punchline.
Good call adding the information that Mr Joshua doesn't sign his work. It's abnormal that he doesn't.
His work is one of the main things I miss about Bluesky.
Yeah, it's odd that he doesn't, and people always ask when I forget to include it. I guess his style is unique enough that it's identifiable.
It's honestly a great game.
