New "The Ghost in the Shell" Animation Project underway with Science SARU
I would've expected this to be a season 2 announcement of the new The Ghost In The Shell anime, but the article calls it "A brand-new animation project based on Shirow Masamune's monumental cyberpunk manga Ghost in the Shell". It also says "Animation production for this new project will be handled by Science SARU, the studio behind the 2026 TV series." That makes it sound like the fact it's the same studio as the most recent anime is almost coincidental. Strange. I guess we'll found out more as details come out.

I'm not sure what to make of this, to be honest. I guess I'm fine with a S02 or other effort in the series. I love Science SARU and THE GHOST IN THE SHELL was well done in my opinion. So I'm excited. Thanks for posting.
I was hoping for Human Error Processor or Man Machine Interface
It still might be! I just think their wording in the announcement was strange.
Could just be an artifact from translating to English.
the og one was fine, need to remake it.
This was a remake of the og.
