Is there really no way to homebrew a Mariko Switch without soldering?

I don't have any kind of experience with electronics, I'm extremely afraid to fuck up anything with my Switch BUT I want the free games. 😭 How come there is no way to exploit the software like it happened with V1? Isn't the modding community invested in claiming another console? Or is the thing that really tough to homebrew without the hardware modding?

None currently afaik. Though soldering, specially on the standard Switch, is pretty simple.

Also, beggars can't be choosers. So if the situation isn't ideal for you, either wait, or learn how to be a reverse engineer and start investigating how to mod consoles purely by software.

No, there isn't.

I’m extremely afraid to fuck up anything with my Switch BUT I want the free games.

So find someone who will do it as a service, or buy a V1 and sell your mariko.

Because it was a bug, and they fixed it.

Isn’t the modding community invested in claiming another console?

Of course, but 90% of the community is going to say that modchip is "good enough" and move on.

Or is the thing that really tough to homebrew without the hardware modding?

Yes.

Thanks for the extremely dry answers! I'm especially curious about the "find someone who will do it as a service" bit, though. How could I find such a person?

Really depends on where you live. Local classifieds, local p2p selling apps like offerup, facebook marketplace (gross), craigslist, word of mouth from friends/family/coworkers, asking here, or reddit (also gross). Otherwise there's plenty of sites willing to let you ship a switch to them and do it for monies.

As far as vetting anything you find, feel it out as best you can via communication and reviews. I have no recommendations for anything specific unfortunately.
