Just to name 2.

Oh I'm also currently working on a meticulous and faithful modernization of Hexen II, which will be packaged for the FTEQW engine.

Oh boy, I hope my PC can run these! Can you confirm the system requirements at this stage?

I cannot currently. What I can say is the ability to tune it to system specs is high on my priority, and on a regular cadence I run full performance tests and audits. I've already built in a quality level system, and every new addition is highly (maybe too) adjustable to both preference and performance.

I also make the stylistic choice to not upscale textures to 4K, but rather ~2K. This choice is likely the biggest reason it should run pretty well on a wide variety of systems. Super high-res texture packs are what just absolutely tank these engines.

EDIT: Also every addition is individually toggleable, for both performance and preference. I know I personally like to mix and match with other people's engine mods, so that was important to me.

just another comment.

I been cleaning up some of my dos c code. I haven't came up with any game ideas yet. I'm targeting the same systems quake targeted because I don't feel like doing fixed point math again.

What kind of parlor do you have?

Lots of smoke. A few mirrors. A bit of a dry spell recently on beautiful assistants.

Maybe look in one of those mirrors and you'll find the beautiful assistant was there all along
