It's Thursday 10/22/2026. Hey, What's Going On!

I should make this post later in the day. I'm much more clever when I have had coffee.

This post is for casual conversation if you don’t feel like making a post of your own.

How do you explain rejection sensitivity to someone who is always gregarious and outgoing?

My GF thinks I have "fewer coping skills" but that the things I'm reacting to strongly are just normal, every day stuff.

I feel like my reaction to things is based on me feeling really excluded from the social world. If I get cut off in traffic, I have a normal response. It's not about me and it really could happen to anyone.

If I get blowback for being blunt, I get very upset because that is personal to me and it happens all the time. "It's not targetted at you," is what she says, but,, not, really, I see the pattern and it fucking is targetted at me.

So of course, what happens? I tell her she needs to educate herself more and think about my experiences being different than hers and that might lead to a different response, but then she gets hurt and offended and says she didn't INTEND to be mean, and now we're having this whole fight that is exactly an illustration of why I have rejection sensitivity.

I left the house sobbing because an extremely mild inconvenience made my brain dump literally everything and delayed me leaving for work (and who knows what I forgot to do, grab etc 🫠)

Get in the car and my fucking tire light is on again. Getting my tire replaced yesterday took up my whole day. So I decide to just drive right back to the tire place. Somehow this is fine? Not making me cry more? The guy at the desk says he highly doubts the tire they installed leaks, but they can check in 30 mins. I tell him I didn't check before I came, so I'll check now. Do I know how to do it? Yes...

Reader, can you guess what tire it was?

But still I'm annoyed but not disregulated. It takes an hour, it's a faulty stem, they fix it. Go out to my car and the driver door won't open. That triggers the meltdown??? (They left it on but didn't start the engine and my key fob doesn't work in that condition apparently 🫠)

I am having a hard time accepting my brain today.

You generally make this post between an hour ago to an hour later, so that's good though? It's...I know when it'll happen! I like that kinda thing.

I'm sad about Bioware. But once it was purchased, it was like clock ticking louder thing.

I found another local appliance center, called them, they have chest freezers as well, but they also have floor models which I want. I want to SEE and TOUCH the suckers before deciding.

Have a fluffy wambler from Dwarf Fortress stealing some cheese.
