Let's make a deal, I'll adjust the brightness so I can just see the logo if you guarantee everything I'm supposed to see is brighter than that logo.

I've followed that instruction and then gotten stuck because areas I'm supposed to be able to navigate are pitch black.

I propose a Bill of Gaming Rights.

I should be able to adjust the volume before the game starts.

I should be able to pause any cutscene.

Anything necessary to the game should be visible at your recommended brightness level.

Any others?

I should be able to run the game without internet access if it's not an online multiplayer game.

Inverting or not the controls should always be possible. Hopefully before you even start playing.
