as someone who writes cosmic horror i just think up of "What is the most Terrifying concept that i can put into words" a good example is what i call "Eternal bambi" imagine Universe where the only thing that exists and will ever exists is the Short film Godzilla Vs Bambi with time itself repeating every time it ends it's the only thing that can exist in this and the Event repeats infinitely see the idea is not that this specific universe is scary but it's a representation that if there are Infinite possibilities in the multiverse there will be ones that do not follow the conventional rules of our reality Aka everything is possible and you cant comprehend what's out there only the parts that have similarities to our own existence

You might like the movie Until Dawn

It is not at all what you described, like, at all, but it is in the same realm of horror I think.

You might like Liar Liar.

It's not at all related to anything being discussed here, but it's a funny movie.

Okay but Until Dawn at least has a “the universe doesn’t exist outside this time loop” aspect.

It’s not a cosmic horror, but it’s similar to the idea in a different subgenre.

every time I try to get help writing my tentacle porn people are like "damn it's a pretty nice horror fantasy" and I'm like idk I feel like I'm writing a black comedy with a monsterfucker romance subplot and they're just like "oh yeah that's most of horror tbh."

Literally me with yanderes.

God damn, dangerous, obsessive, and possessive women do it for me. Annie Wilkes and Angelique Bouchard are just the best.
