My spouse and I were looking at houses one time the market was favorable. We walked in and saw that middle griddle and we backed out very slowly. You don’t want to attract the attention of the middle griddle. Don’t focus on it. You’ll get sucked into it and years later finally emerge from your home as some kind of large comfort food monster.

We said “not again, griddle.”

Now we have electric.

The most unbelievable part of this story to me is the favorable housing market

It's honestly a nightmare to clean, had one at a house I was renting for a weekend once and would never get a stove with it after that experience. Much easier to just deal with a separate, movable piece of cast iron.

middle griddle? take this tip from a firefighter:

heat your house with the oven door open. it doesn’t smell like carbon monoxide so you know it is safe. when you wake up in the next life, throw your middle griddle away.

::: spoiler Tap for spoiler i’m such a fire nerd, i do have to mention this is sarcasm. don’t do that. kthx. :::
