These protests show once again that if you believe western-media framing on anything, you’re a gullible fool. They are all just RT for liberalism.
Yes, some protesters did vandalize or use violence, but none of the arrested protesters made any political statements (according to a parisian prosecutor). They are just the usual crowd that looks for trouble no matter the protest. And, as this video demonstrates, at least part of the vandalism is done by the police itself.
The entire framing that the extreme left is causing havoc on the streets falls down the moment you take a closer look.
Add to this that the causes of the protests are basically never in the news. Never has the news opened every evening for a week with the fact that 7 million people in france can’t afford food (https://www.journaldeleconomie.fr/7-millions-de-francais-souffrent-de-la-faim/). No state of emergency, no speech by Macron, no police beating up the people responsible. It’s just accepted as is. What is a bigger violence: 7 million hungry people or one old building burning down?
Multiple possibilities. One reason for cops to do this is to give themselves an excuse to escalate the amount of violence they can use against protesters. Or as bait to rile up other protesters to follow their lead and then the cops who are close by or even the undercover regime officers quickly swipe the protesters away.
When the establishment does this, the infiltrators are called "agent provocateurs" and their job is to turn peaceful protests violent, or amplify the violence enough to justify the use of heavy/lethal force

Are they really escorted by actual police officers?
Stealth check : failed
Yeah they're not the brightest. It's also not the first video showing that.

What interpretation can I give to this? What motives are there to do this?

It is a tactic commonly used by the IDF against Palestinians: Israeli undercover soldiers seen arresting Palestinian protesters
Or they might simply be disguised to perform actions which would be illegal for the police while remaining masked and unidentifiable.

Well let's just say that the Israeli elections are one week from today and "French Arabs" make a very convenient scapegoat.
Rubber ball or tear gas grenade for crowd dispersion
Fuck this noise.
