I knew this would be here when I got to the comments. Thanks for making me smile!

As a millennial, I feel like the boomers in my life chased it more than the people in my cohort.

My boomer mom was obsessed with spider solitaire and freecell for years until she got sick. And columns on genesis.

That and blowing all her money on ebay.

My boomer mom used to flatline every AA battery in the house using my Gameboy to play Tetris. Once I started hiding it she told me (20 years later) that she would dream about Tetris and had withdrawal. Once my aunt gave me her old windows 3.1 laptop I would often find it with solitaire still open. She never said anything about dreaming about solitaire though.

I had a plug-in battery pack adapter so I didn’t have that problem. She certainly tried all my gameboy games (she liked mole mania the most) but they werent a hit the way columns or the card games were.

Oh man they were amazing! I just wish all the additional accessories had been equally compatible. My sibling got a gameboy pocket the same time our parents gave me the gameboy (you can guess who wasn’t the favorite!) and sibling had so many more options for stuff. Lighted magnification screens and stuff never seemed to be made for the original fat gameboy. Or if they were, good luck finding them.

I'm the oldest of 6, so I got everything first. Mostly. Do you really feel like you weren't the favourite? I know parents sometimes have a favourite, but mine never treated any of us differently. Except for the one sib born a girl, they were pampered af.

This isn’t a matter of thinking/feeling, but knowing. I hesitate to vomit negativity at you unless you actually do want the context involved, though.

I’m willing to give it, but not without request because it, umm.. requres content warnings and stuff…

Only ever saw that once. I'm trash at FreeCell but I worked at a shitty little computer store in Highschool and there was this dude who worked in the back room frankenstining SGI computers back together that was a damn genius at it — among other things. Shout out to all my LGCS homies.

I can’t believe whoever published this made this the winning game graphic. When I first learned to draw a goddamn rectangle on the screen with code, this is like the second thing I did right after that. This is not a production quality feature.

Did you learn to draw a rectangle on screen in the late 80s? That's when an intern made Microsoft Solitaire

Wow me with the graphics you would have put in there? I didn't see anything cooler until like 1993

You reached the end
