As Republicans face scary midterm polls, Ted Cruz blames ‘transgender witches’

During an interview with Fox News, Cruz was asked why so many Republican-held Senate seats were toss-ups this year. Cruz acknowledged the frightening environment for the GOP — “there are eight to 10 Senate races that are tied or within the margin of error” — before saying Republicansappear cursed because their party is in power

I just want to take a moment to thank the transgender witches for their hard work. Keep it up, you heroes of the new world!

It’s hard work so thank you. I had to find like… 8 frogs for a ritual today.

Have you ever tried to find 8 frogs before?

2

Ally here. Happy to supply as many frogs as you need. I'm really good at catching them, eight is no problem

Oh my god. Where? Tell me where the transgender witches are please. You know, so I can avoid them, or whatever.

Can confirm, kissing sloppy while casting spells.

It's a part of the spell, actually

Republicans don’t think about trans men. They will write laws that also affect them, but they rally against trans woman in women’s bathrooms or women’s sports etc.

But yes we need warlock kisses too!

11

Oh, they rail on men with wombs, too. I still don't see why they're so concerned with the genitals of strangers

1

Me too although I would just want to hang out they sound awesome

11

I mean. I'm trans. And I do have a really awesome wizard/apothecary outfit I wear to ren faires. So I suppose I could in a sense call myself a transgender witch. And while I'm not really into wicca myself, I definitely have threatened to put curses on my students before.

6

Now, please finish the half-done job of turning Ted Cruz into a toad.

And right now, if you’re a left-wing transgender witch, you hate Donald Trump

Dick... I'm a straight white CIS man and I fucking detest Donald Trump

34
lemmy.world

This. I've detested this asshole since the 80s. And there are so fucking many of us now. If the demo he was talking about were the only people that absolutely detest donnie dipstick, his numbers would be in the 90+ percent range.

And it so ain't.

11

Same. The first time I saw the guy he just gave me that vibe. I knew he was bad news. He's never proven me wrong.

3

I'm with the transgender witches. I wish them unlimited mana for their curses.

16

Republicans appear cursed because their party is in power

No, it's Americans who appear cursed because their party is in power.

36
lemmy.world

Looks like they seriously ran out of real arguments if they have to resort to "witchcraft" to explain why they lose.

It also speaks to the dumbing down of our culture, and that they aren't trying to bring us back to an earlier period of America so much as the dark ages.

8

What some of them consider "The good old time", when black people were slaves, and witches were burned, indeed. Let's party like 1699!

2

no longer content with just undoing the civil rights acts of the 1960s, maga fucks are now reaching all the way back to the 1690s.

6

"How about we all come together and say, 'Let's stop attacking pedophiles?'". -Ted Cruz 2025

I will personally buy drinks or cook a meal of their choice for any transgender witches of my acquaintance that let me join them in casting a curse on Ted Cruz personally.

10

So i misread the title.

I thought he was saying the transgender witch hunt was the problem, like they went too far on their bigotry, and i was like damn, well the saying goes a broken clock is right twice a day.

But nah, I just misread it.

6

time is a flat circle. i can just hear larry nichol's gravelly voice as he explains to alex jones how hilary clinton is in a coven with linda bloodworth-thomason doing blood magic.

edit: adding a shoutout to my fellow wonks. remember, life is very fragile.

LOL, was he the one always talking about how Bill was running a drug importation operation out of Arkansas' Governor's mansion?

The fucking 90s were wild, JFC. And a precursor to all this shit. All that fringe shit from back then was mainstreamed by 2015....

4

yes, that was ol' larry. the 90s were wild. it's kinda wild to me now how it all turned out. like some of what aj went on about turned out to be true except it was the people he was for who were doing it. and then there were the patriots screaming about government overreach and they're the same people who think ice is great now.

Ah, an artefact from a better time. I mean, the site was completly barking mad, but the times were better. You don't seem to get that grade of insanity anymore.

2

You don’t seem to get that grade of insanity anymore.

In some ways, it's just more normalized and hides in the corner screaming about flat earths… but yes. Time cube was definitely........... special. lol

The way things are going, a few decades from now the University of Florida will be offering PhDs in Cubism. There will be a whole department of Cubists filled with tenured faculty. They'll somehow all understand each other and clearly engage in some form of vigorous debate amongst themselves about the finer points of cubism. But no one outside the department will have the slightest goddamn idea what they're on about.

Are the transgender witches in the room with us right now, Ted? Cause if they are I'm gonna have a drink with them, they sound fun.

Ritual Black Magick and Hermeticism require the novice to contact, explore, accept, and exhalt their most opposite sexual identity, so this has always been a thing.

Grant Morrison has some really interesting experiences with this, but we are all some varying percentages of part male, part female, and part neither. Identifying as any one of these strongly and entirely while renouncing the others is essentially denying your soul/spirit a fair chance to develop fully in this lifetime. You don’t have to commit to anything if you don’t want to, but as a man, you can’t understand how to treat others until you’ve walked a mile in their heels, skate shoes, cowboy slippers, weighted diving boots, lacy pink booties or wooden clogs. ( I think that covers it )

PattyMcBreply

Can I please borrow those lacy pink booties?

Asking for scientific purposes, lol

1

Friend, you can have them, As long as you wear them with pride and fully accept the empowerment they provide. Someday you may befriend someone who is lost, lonely, miserable, and has been wearing the same shoes for their whole lives. That’s your sign. Take them shoe shopping.

Lol. These warriors of god gonna lose to crossdressing practitioners of the mystical arts? Way to go, losers!

5

I feel like Old Gods of Appalachia should use this as a writing prompt for a one off non-canon episode.

Also, listen to Old Gods of Appalachia, that show is so fucking good.

5
lemmy.world

Lovecraftian entities and nefarious creatures and critters of the hollers, their schemes, and the witches and workers of The Green that protect them and theirs against those that would do harm in Appalachia, most of it is set in the early 1900’s around the times of the railroad and mining tycoons, but it jumps around. Really good story telling, lore, characters, narration, and voice acting, they put a lot of work into it. Fully written and performed (with a couple of high profile caveats) by progressive people of and from Appalachia. Can’t recommend it enough.

5
lemmy.world

It always seems like Carnivale (the show), relocated to Appalachia and mashed up with Lovecraft.

So good.

2
lemmy.world

You are not kidding. I'm so behind on episodes, but.....yes. Such a great show.

2

Same. I’ve sat out this season so I can burn through it without waiting for the next episodes. They really know how to leave you hanging and begging for more.

They have some smaller series that they do on patreon that are entirely worth it, as well. Cam and Steve are such phenomenal writers, and Steve’s voice and candor is just pure honey to the ears.

2

To be fair, thousands of witches world wide have hexed these pedo scumbags.

The pedo GOP & their cult deserves every single bad thing that happens to them.

Which is also one reason I don't believe in ANY religion (although I'm still fond of paganism and witchery. And Sikhs, for that matter)

If the supernatural was real the nations built on the burial grounds of their victims would be in a lot more trouble than "the wealthy kept taking more"

3

Kinda like how it homeopathy was real - how does water remember the substance the started with but it forgets all the poo that's been in it (with apologies to Tim Minchen)? :)

3

Please include the relevant portion of the article

“This happens a lot in midterms, where the party out of power, they’re usually ticked off,” he said. “And right now, if you’re a left-wing transgender witch, you hate Donald Trump, and you’re going to show up. You’re energized.”

3

I will thank them but it's always been black women that have dragged the Dems across the line.

4

Are the transgender witches in the room with you right now Cruz?

Are they as scary as the antifa?

3

He probably blames transgendered witches when he can't get his little shrimp dick hard for his wife.

2

Ah, missed the chance to say "Transgender, Somali, Communist, Antfia, Gentle-Parenting, Open-Source, Mutual-aid, Sex-positive witches".

2

need to squeeze ‘vegan’ into that list somehow

5

Can that guy take a faulty flight to somewhere where he won’t be expected to do anything?

When our Constitution was written, women didn't run for office or work for banks as a general rule.

The founders never conceived of a future where greedy political hacks like Ted Cruz are paired with a wife working for Goldman Sachs. Or Omar and her "political consultant" husband.

These pairings allow them both to abuse power to benefit the other. I don't know what the solution is, but it's rotten and we all know it's rotten.

I think we need a new constitution written for today's reality to close these loopholes. As it is now, Goldman Sachs is a senator and a "political consultant" is serving in congress. These conflicts of interest are way too common. It's not a coincidence.

Anyway, "transgender witches" like how many of those are there? They must be super powerful to overturn a US election, like level 30 at least.

Why do you always talk shit on Omar? Most of your recent comments do so, and then you never respond to people asking why.

12

He's a grub. Ironic name, since Mulligrubs is a beloved Australian TV show. But I do not trust this guy.
