My idea: Neighborhood families (who can) buy a case of their favorite libation. As kids come around, parents walk up after and trade one for one. At the end of the night, everyone has a bunch of new things to try at whatever pace they want.

In my neighborhood, there are some houses that also hand out adult treats for the parents, which is so appreciated. No cheese, but often those tiny bottles of wine.

"They're putting razors in the cheese!"

"Na, that's just extra sharp cheddar."

I could see a Halloween for the unchilded where you get dressed up and go from spot to spot to get random adult goodies: wine, cheeses, THC treats in some places, spirits in others, petit fours, tapas, charcuterie, vibrating cock rings, some sort of gambling station, a piercing station, dark chocolate truffles, and whatever else.

Kids too, I bet if you threw some cheese sticks in the candy bowl they'd go pretty quick. It's nighttime so not too hot, and they would get home soon enough for it to be as safe as from a lunchbox.

I like cheese but honestly the food/snack aspect of holidays is often the most overblown aspect of any holiday for me.

The only extra calories I accept come in the form of booze.

Don’t know how I feel about sweet cheese.

Can’t recall having any cheese to be on the sweeter side. I guess I’ve had tart and savory flavor.

I had this balsamic-washed gouda (I think it was gouda) that was pretty sweet. It was cheese, so it was delicious

Walmart got clever with their packaging this year, prices are lower but the bags have like 10 small pieces, if that.
