Geordi: "create a scene where i have a successful date with a lady"

Computer: smokes

More like to achieve the outcome the computer has to divert all power from all other systems (except minimal life support) for about 42 days... and even then it just produces something that was almost, but not quite, unlike tea.

And while its working you can hear whispers all over the ship: "what do you get if you multiply six by nine?"

Wes: “Well at least I don’t have to get my women on the holodeck.”

Yeah Wes won that scene, it’s like the only time it ever happens.

Computer, generate a girlfriend for Geordie that won't get him in trouble for sexually harassing a Starfleet engineer this time.

There was an episode where he was trying to enhance the warp drive or something to get out of some situation or other, when he asked the computer to generate a virtual copy of the person who designed it to discuss the changes, who turned out to be a woman. Long story short, Geordie falls in love with the virtual copy, eventually in a later episode meets the real person who isn't anything like the computer guessed she was, and she eventually finds Geordie's duplicate and is justifiably upset and creeped out.

More details: he doesn't want to keep asking the computer and since he was already using the holodeck he asked for a physical representation to talk to. Then, when she was too stiff, he asked the computer to make a personality. Since the Barclay gave it a lot of training, Geordi ends up having a relationship with her.

Then later the real deal sees Geordi's fantasy woman and is understandably upset.

I don't remember that one but I remember the one where he created her and got his creepy little crush. I guess maybe I can start rewatching... holy crap that's a lot of episodes.

Honestly, I'm glad they did the second one to say, "Even if it wasn't his intention, that was inappropriate of Geordie to do."

Indeed. Like a total asshole. It's not such a terrible episode as you might think though.

3

I remember feeling like he was kind of pathetic, but I haven't seen it for a long time. He was the first guy with an AI girlfriend lol

It's almost like we'd have no problem with it if everyone in our society didn't need to work to survive and it didn't accelerate the planet becoming unlivable while making the worst people alive even more money.

Weird.

Also, if they were powering the holodeck with coal generators, the crew might be complaining about the fumes making the Enterprise unlivable.

It helps that the holodeck is on an isolated power source. To ensure no critical ship operations are disrupted

Indeed, and hence why it kept being a disastrous pain in their ass somehow.

What’s even worse is the way that container moved, it was clearly filled with nothing.

I don’t get why, if they can make Moriarty real, why they can’t do the same for Minuet. They should have let Riker keep his digital girlfriend. Could have even had a whole Troi vs Minuet showdown.

8

They didn't make Moriarty real. They just made him think he was real by putting him in a simulated universe.

6

I always thought the Bynars did a good job making Minuet believable on Law & Order.

I'm curious if this was inspired by my comment in another post or completely independent. I'm cool either way just wondering if someone else independently had this thought or not...

Edit: I certainly was not first to the party, this was around a year before I commented.

I didn't make this meme, but I did see it after your comment. I should have pinged you.

6

Oh, I really don't care one way or another, just really curious if I actually had a unique original take on something or not that inspired others or just had a pretty milquetoast obvious take on it.

Edit: Ok, did a google search, it was at least circulating back in 2025, so had a pretty redundant take.

Yeah, that makes no sense and is completely unnecessary for the joke. He's just vibe coding.
