The legal term “genocide” refers to certain acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. Although the term “genocide” is often used, its commission is rare when compared to other serious crimes that are not defined by an intent to destroy a targeted group, such as crimes against humanity and war crimes.

It's a genocide, everybody knows it's a genocide, including those who are operating the genocide, they just don't want history to remember it as a genocide, or record them as participants in genocide. But that's exactly what they are, and history WILL remember them that way.
In the old days, history was all in books, and nowhere else. Conquerers could eventually write their own history, given enough time for people to forget the truth. But things are different today. Everything is recorded and archived FOREVER. You can write whatever history you want, but future researchers, scholars, aliens picking over the scraps of our civilization, etc. will find the real truth, and expose it.
