@Tutanota @firefox @torproject @yubico @signalapp @bitwarden @ecosia @nextcloud @StartpageSearch @ublockorigin Threema is not recommended. It is centralised, paid, and does not have practical benefits over XMPP with OMEMO enabled. Signal is superior for its encryption but has KYC. Anyone who wants true security and privacy for chats and their matamata involved should use SimpleX instead. For a balance of security/privacy and convenience I will go for XMPP.
@Tutanota @firefox @torproject @yubico @signalapp @bitwarden @ecosia @nextcloud @StartpageSearch @ublockorigin There is a relatively new project called Kryfo, and its Android app is available on F-Droid. It sounds promising and does worth a try, but is still not ready for production use since it is a newborn project and has not undergone sufficient security audit yet.

My Pi-Hole.
I have Meta/Facebook/Instagram/Threads blocked from my local network, along with the ten thousand or so data scrapers and ad sites in the database.
I also have Chinese and Russian domains blocked by the router firewall (mostly placebo, as both are deeply embedded in domestic residential proxies).

Although I don't follow these types of trends, it's a good opportunity to share some good things! I like @StartpageSearch's Anonymous View feature! @librewolf, @Waterfox, IronFox and @torproject's browsers. @briar and @matrix's @element chatting software. Also uBlock Origin and @StartpageSearch's Startpage Privacy Protection extension (Which might protect against malicious trackers!). @CoMaps, a lot! Simple Keyboard and QKSMS, too!

@Tutanota @firefox @torproject @yubico @signalapp @bitwarden @ecosia @nextcloud @StartpageSearch @ublockorigin Signal, Mastodon and Vivaldi. I’m looking for secure EU apps for other uses and I also have MailFence and Proton in mind.

Because other than Tuta, they don't seem to be monitoring my mail account and blocking it for "spam" if I write > 15 emails a day. Yeah, that happened.
