Literally a less cartoonishly evil figure than the current president of the United States.

Not a bad idea. The protesters should at least incorporate, and appoint themselves executives. Then they won't be prosecuted for anything.

appoint themselves executives

and then execute

We also shouldn’t equate protestors with looters.

As someone in the side of protesters, I don't think this is that important. Even recognizing a distinction between the two, and trying to distance yourself from the second, is a losing move (respectability politics. Shows you believe in some weird sanctity of business ownership).

Protesting is not an abstract thing, it's fighting against oppression, and the oppressors are the capitalist owners. Loot away. Cause property damage, especially to bigger corporate entities. Just don't hit the locals that support the protest.

Fair, but I was kinda thinking of the small shop owners when I postsd my comment. Some of the videos I’ve seen were of independent shops (not chain stores or luxury brands). One video I saw was the shopkeeper pleading to the looters to stop and saying she was on their side (of the protest).

Even then, the focus should be on who bears ultimate responsibility. What is the point in shaming a mob? Will it stop a riot? No, it just gives political cover for state brutality. The power is in the hands of the bourgeoisie to stop and prevent rioting. It's remarkable how little they must concede, in fact.

Nice they bundle looters and protesters together now, I guess that'll fix the issues.
