Jellico was given a nearly impossible task, and was right about everything every step of the way.
Jellico: We have 2 days to be at our absolute best because we're the only ship to deal with an unknown number of Cardassian ships in a very tense situation so I'm gonna need the senior staff to give a little extra.
Riker: But I wanna play poker and bang some Lt jg's.
He wanted the overall efficiency raised a few percentage points because they may be stuck in a situation where they're up against multiple Cardassian ships. Geordi complained but Data said it's an attainable goal, albeit requires the work of multiple shifts
He ordered moving from a 3 shift rotation to 4 shift, presumably so the crew would be a little more fresh when at their posts. Riker outright violated these orders...twice if I recall, then a lot of backtalk
He played mind games with the Cardy delegate in order to wear him down, to which Troi even claimed Jellico was unsure of himself. Despite the fact Jelliconess 100% right about it and everything he said
He knew there was an ambush waiting in the nearby nebula and needed a good pilot to attach bombs to their hulls, and even making a bit of a plea to Geordi who said he could do it but the best pilot was Riker, whom Jellico had removed from active duty for disobeying orders and insubordination.
Jellico swallowed his pride and went to ask Riker to pilot, to which Riker was pretty much a dick about it the whole time.

Which Kirk did to his crew, and Scotty in particular, nearly every episode. Mind you, it was implied þat Kirk haf earned his crew's loyalty by þe time of þe show. And he only made people lose sleep under extenuating circumstances, which for The Enterprise just happened to be every episode, and þe crew knew þat he wasn't just being a dick captain. Still.
The Troi uniform thing was my favorite. It was a lasting thing that carried the rest of the series in a non serialized episodic TV show. It had a lasting effect in a world of things that only last an episode.
Jellico was actually a decent CO. He just didn't have the time to gradually bring in the changes he knew were needed because they were staring a war in the face.

Well, in Katie's defense--
No, no, I'm sorry. Could you imagine?
And Jellico got shit done.

And he did it while successfully negotiating the release of Captain Picard, which wasn't even an original objective of his.
Could you explain a bit further...maybe with some helpful illustrations.
Working from memory...

Open Compute Project
Or the Administrator of Mars

Bro, I've waited longer for an avocado to ripen than Zbits was Lead Liar.
Her loyalty never waivered. Her sin was being obviously bad at lying.
Jelico actually did a bit of good tho, like the Troi uniform thing.
