Already done. I've convinced myself I'm reasonably hot and moderately likable.

But also, yeah, we really do have to build self esteem in a world that's trying to tear us down. And in particular we need to counter the narratives of ourselves that transphobes try to express. For example my size doesn't make me monstrous, it makes me a large woman, a trait every partner I've had has found desirable

Yeah, it's another injury forced on us. But, it also allows you to foster an optimism for the unbelievable in a way that most people are highly discouraged from ever hoping for. Some of you may meet this with humour, but try accepting the discomfort and learning how to live with it, use it, and get excited from it.

Remember, self-esteem is not a performative thing you show off to others.

If people are saying things like: "They're so confident!" that's performative.

People should be saying things like: "They seem really comfortable in their own skin"

But performing it can be the first step. You say what you know to be true even if it feels like a lie so eventually it feels like the truth you know it to be

Performing it actually makes it even worse, why would someone confident need to perform confidence?

That's the opposite of self-acceptance.
