Sports are inherently political

MLS isn’t alone in trying to make it a reality. Most of the other American major leagues try just as hard to stay neutral in any matter that may cost them a few dollars by upsetting fans, or draw the ire of their overwhelmingly conservative owners. Then again, few sports seem to have hardcore fans as politically engaged as those in American soccer.

Fuck ICE, fuck the police, eat the rich

NFL fans are very politically engaged. They are just engaged in things the billionaires approve of.

The weird thing is that no one is compelling the teams or MLS to make these policies, they are just volunteering this shit. They come out on their own to quash political dissent. The capital holders know where their bread is buttered.

Now I want to wear an Anti Ice-T shirt to my next LAFC game. I will put "just kidding" on it because I'm not anti Ice-T, just more pro Ice Cube.
