Is proton abusing notification dot in browser tab?
Has anyone else noticed, that a lot of times the notification dot appears, making it look like new mail is in the inbox? Opening the tab makes the dot disappear yet literally nothing changed. It's really annoying.

I have the same issue with all the sites that are pinned in LibreWolf. Definitely a bug.
Interesting, so it could be a firefox bug? But the same does not happen for Gmail or Outlook for me.
No, these sometimes get triggered when a website reloads for whatever reason (e.g. a version update).
If you want a more reliable sign that there's a new mail enable the favicon counter:
"Settings > Proton Mail > Other > Show unread count in favicon"

Nope, literally no new mail, not even Protons own spam promotion popups. Nothing. Upgrade button is always present.
Is that not all software lately?
