I used to order it often at restaurants then I dialed it in at home and can’t believe I would spend so much on a dish that’s essentially tasty, spices spaghetti sauce with eggs.
I gibe myself a loooot of time for it and basically slow cook the paprika for about 30 minutes to he rid of all the bitterness. most recipes call for an oven as well, but I just put the eggs on top at then end and let them cook there. Just taking it slow would be my advice.
If you wanna go super fancy, you can do the same for the tomatoes after. I tend to wait for at least 10 minutes until the Paprikas are soft and sweet and then add fresh tomatoes instead of canned ones. Then let them cook and ”pop open" naturally - its not as thick as otherwiae, but once again: just slowly cook it down until its nice :)

Mind sharing the recipe you used? Looks great!
Thank you for spreading the word of shakshuka.
What’s your trick to make this dish? I’ve tried twice and I think I’m missing something
Quality spices and a lot of time.

Looks phenomenal. Is the eggs poached basically?
Poached-ish. It cooks in the red sauce, but its generally a shallow poach unlike where you tradionally fully submerge it in the liquid.
I personally much prefer a fried egg on toast with the sauce poured on top, but that isnt exactly a shakshuka.
Nothing about this presentation is "phenomenonal". I don't know what you're smoking.
Apt name go handle some
It’s been too long since I’ve had shakshuka!
Oh Damn, I wanted shakshukach today but I didn't have any canned tomatoes 🙄. I'm happy for you!
