Bug Report: URI Sanitization
Morning Team,
Please see the thread found at this link, between myself and the OP:
https://sh.itjust.works/post/68082252
I’d like to request that the LinkResolver.ky file be updated so that URIs have their RFC-3986 well-defined Reserved Characters “percent-encoded” before being transferred to a buffer.
If you need an assist on dev for this, lmk :) I’m about since Gingerbread on developing for android, let alone kt but I have the spice😭

I think this has been fixed in the latest release? Can you verify? Thanks.
Latest release should be v1.87.0.
@[email protected] mind giving it a whirl for testing?
Edit: I don’t use summit. I’m just an observer reporting.
On my end, it's the same for the crosspost links. I do think this is likely an upstream Piefed bug (that may have been slightly fixed), as when I'd copy the urls a week or so ago, it would also have the @ in the URL. Now though, this seems to not be the case.

I think I misunderstood the bug. So the real bug is that the url shouldn't have an @? I tested in chrome/firefox and it works though so the url definitely seems to be valid.
I'd argue this is a bug on the other front ends for not supporting this url style.
This is correct - the underlying linked url must be encoded. So the link that goes into the parenthesis’
( ).Would you mind pointing me to an appropriate repo to delve?
I'll check it out and report back, thanks!
Code block is unchanged, all I saw were some workflow changes and Open AI integrations being worked on.
It was fixed at the start of August.

If you’re using your app, would you mind cross-linking a post from a separate instance?
Like as a test?
Here is a crosspost. Since the original bug is piefed related I made the crosspost from a piefed post:
https://lemmy.world/post/53309541
Is this not an issue with the lemmy-ui? This issue describes a similar problem with links to posts from piefed users, which I made on lemmy iIrc, and the link in it still looks broken in the lemmy-ui.
Though I don't have the context of the file you pointed out; Github is down lol
From where I sit it appears to be the same issue, just upstream as well. Getting to speed on the internet is just gonna take time :)Edit: same bug, same issue. The @ symbol means something to a url.
