A24 films / movies are terrible
Just can't watch them. I watch a lot of movies, and not just mainstream. European movies, Arabic movies, the occasional Bollywood movie, but I can't sit through an A24. It is just cheap, pretentious, kitsch, artsy shit.
The colours are always off, the sound and music is horrendous, the shooting, the lighting, the stories.
Just tried again with Onslaught and had to delete it after 20 minutes. I rather watch any Asylum movie than this crap.

Good headline, misguided post.
A24 isn’t a single filmmaker whose style you don’t like. They’re an “indie” production house. Most of their stuff “sucks” because they don’t have high (i.e. award chasing) standards. They probably make a film or two you do like, or would if you watched it. The one i can think of is The Florida Project, but there are a couple others. After that, I watched a lot of A24 movies and disliked most of them. Still, they’re one of my favourite studios because they make unique movies (which doesn’t mean good). I’d still rather take a chance on an A24 film than watch another Marvel movie or some cookie-cutter romcom or action flick.
I feel like they have high standards, but they generally focus on high quality talent only and aren't trying to chase trends. They are the studio to go to when you want to make something weird and no other studio will give you money. Since A24 movies are relatively cheap to make, they choose to gamble on big swings since one successful movie can cover for two bad ones.
Everything Everywhere All at Once is an awesome movie.
Heretic is super good also
