Seeing family this weekend for some celebrations, but not much else planned. Should be nice to see folk
I was going to have a go at some Filipino cooking this weekend, but getting ingredients has proven to be a challenge. My friends from across the Atlantic are regularly shocked by how difficult it is for me to get good ingredients for Mexican food, and I've now run into another version of the same thing
My work colleague was banging on about oobay? Pancakes from the Filipines the other day. Yet to find them!
Lidl has spatzle in which I've been on the hunt for for years this week. Now to find Almdudler
Oh, that'll be ube! It's a type of yam that goes in all sorts of Filipino dishes. Apparently it can be substituted with sweet potato in most cases, but you lose out on the fabulous purple colour
Spatzle is something I haven't had since I was last actually in Germany. What are you planning to make with it?

Probably, and there is also a pretty solid Chinese shop near me that also does a lot of other East Asian foods so I will have to continue my search there

October week!! This last week has been helish! Meetings, training and parents night, so been late all the time. Think i've run myself ragged and now feeling a bit yuck and think I have a cold taking hold!! Nothing too exciting this holiday but lots of life admin and feeling jealous of my pals who are all away on holiday!!
Cold on hols? Typical! And mallorca is mediocre this week, take solace in moody Scottish skies and get a book in knowing you are saving the pennies
Thats the usual!! To be on your knees before a holiday cramming everything in!! Then the bugs get you!!
Plans for this week include: cleaning out the hut, car going for a service and getting a flu jag!! Also going to see Duran Duran with my aunt and going for dinner, maybe a lunch!
Duran Duran are still going? Impressive. And that sounds like some good chores indeed. Car servicing is worth every penny. Preventative over treatment after all
My aunt loves duran duran so i said i'd go with her! As long as they do the old ones i'll enjoy it!!
Some nice weather this afternoon so I read out the back door!! Relaxing here is just as good as away on holiday!!
