The least surprising result ever. Lula is for Brazil what Biden was for Americans. An old guy introduced as a compromise candidate after an idiot. And of course he decided to run again.
you are correct with the comparison with biden. lula was mostly a do nothing socdem but running again was the best option as there is literally nobody else vaguely leftist with the viability.
