Big Yellow Taxi
I've been informed I need to provide artist credit, even if I am the artist.
Credit goes to me. I am the artist. I drew this, took a picture of it, and posted it here. Gaze upon my works.

I am not mighty, but I despair.
I’m guessing here, but did you use a brush pen, mark the lines and then use pastels?
Very skilled. It’s a really nice style.
Close! Brush pen, then pencil crayons!
Don't it always seem to go, That you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone, They paved paradise, put up a parking lot!
This, Janis Joplin's Bobby McGee, and Chris Issac's Don't wanna Fall in Love are the secretly well practiced songs I keep in my pocket in case I'm ever pressured into karaoke.
That's just smart. I should follow your lead and secretly practice a few songs. They might not be the same ones, but those are solid examples.
Mine are "Islands in the Stream" (both Dolly and Kenny's parts in case I can't duet) and "Shook Ones, Pt II."
Surprisingly, my main takeaway from this was a moment of reflection over what a comic strip even is. Like at first I was thinking "well this doesn't really seem like a comic strip, but I think avant garde OC should get more leeway".
But then I considered the individual elements and realized that I've seen them before in works I definitely consider comic strips. Like the joke will just be someone singing song lyrics, or (like in the Dolan comics) the characters will just be memes. And there are kind of quasi-panels to this, which historically weren't separated by lines.
That was refreshing, OP; thank you. And it was funny too.
Thank you for your thoughtful response.
I have to admit I had my doubts too. I could have just put these words over the Kombucha Girl meme, and called it a day. Then it would not be a comic.
But by the simple act of redrawing the meme, I get to claim it's a comic.
Words and images, paired together, in a way where each hopefully adds something to the other that it doesn't provide on its own...
Thank you for accepting my comic <3
You need to provide artist credit. Even if you’re the artist. Please edit your post.
Thanks. I made this. I am the artist. All credit goes to me. Gaze upon my shitty art and know that it is I, the very poster of the art, who made the work that I myself have posted.
No worries. Please put that in your post and not just a comment. It’s a housekeeping thing.
And for what it’s worth, I like your art style. The shading is awesome.
Thanks, I added it to my post. Hope I did it correctly.
Thank you for the lovely compliment! :)
Oh. It looks like I had to refresh the post for it to show up. My apologies. 😊

Ah, thank you Wikipedia (and indeed academia) for clarifying this point.
