When Voyager was in first run, I was dating a Trekkie woman who had a breastfeeding toddler. Whenever Seven of Nine came on screen, her kid would get hungry regardless of how recently he'd fed. :D It reached the point where she would record the show, and we'd watch after her kid went to bed.
on the one hand, i felt bad for kate mulgrew having to watch the first star trek with a woman captain become the seven of nine show overnight--on the other hand, yes, adolescent boy me absolutely watched the show just to see seven of nine
As an adult watching Voy all the way through for the first time I found her journey of working out what her identity is as an individual very relatable. She's a fantastic actor.
