I remember he got so much news coverage before the election, and was curious what had happened since. Seems like pretty wild swings in electoral fortune.

It omits things like the US (Trump) giving $20 billion to Argentina in 2025 to keep its economy afloat prior to their elections. Also works as a bribe to let Trump in on the action. Another 7 billion this year. Using debt to pay debt down does seem suspicious.

Surprisingly, it seems they only sent 5 billion of that 2025 promise; the currency allegedly improved enough on the election that nobody minded losing 15 billion? end of this section.

(Which is to say, the article includes that payment/bribe, though attributes it to the US SOS instead of trump. I find that odd given how much it mentions trump elsewhere in the article, but I don't recall the events of the 'gift' clearly.)
