The system is called LCARS -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LCARS . It's obviously optimized for dramatic show time effect, but there are themes to make your systems look a bit like it.

Could someone tl;dr what "picking enterprise as a goal" means for KDE?

Specifically, stuff like enforcing locking the session after inactivity. Lots of compliance requirements include items like that.

That's much more pedestrian than the wild ideas zipping through my mind when I saw the term.
Of course I can totally get behind this.
My KDE experience has been nothing but nice so far, like the whole project is nice.

RHEL moved away from KDE and landed purely as a GNOME only enterprise shop. Possibly KDE might invest more on the Kubuntu desktop or something
