It's Friday 10/02/2026. Hey, What's Going On!

Whenever I tell someone I'm autistic, they don't say things like "are you sure" or "you don't look autistic" I get looks like "oh that makes sense".

Here is Paul is the darkness.

This post is for casual conversation if you don’t feel like making a post of your own.

I'm going back to work Monday after being off for 4 months. It's a gradual return, so just one day next week.

But it's also scary! I am queen of the overshare so I'm telling myself not to tell people it's autism (a few people know, shout out to all the 30-50 year olds finding out they are autistic through burnout lol).

Tbh I'm less worried about outright discrimination and more about people saying "no you're not!". In the other hand, the culture in the town I now live is way less accommodating so maybe I never passed myself off as normal 😅 Back home we are right to business lol.

Theoretically going to get weed today. Might also get the Dressmaker game, then I'll menace...some community on here with pictures of my dresses. Possibly gaming. Possibly...a new community. I use to be a mod for like a single subreddit, maybe I can figure how to here. But man. I'd rather lurk and post than be responsible again.

I use to sew irl but be bad at it. There's a bernina next to me, but can't use. With the backbackroom cleaning going really well, I'll probably actually get access to the machine again (because things in here will be moved to the backbackroom) but yeah yeah.

Still feel like shit. I hate having a human body. Please someone make me a computer body.

I still want hands though. I need to pet kitties. And eyes to see kitties. And pressure receptors to pet kitties at the right pressure for the kitties.

Hmm this might be difficult.

I had a family reunion of sorts. My siblings are a still hot messes, and my mother is still awful. So not much has changed there. They're all hella autistic and in various levels of denial and/or ignorance about this.

I've started taking my ebike to work. It's nearly as much fun as a motorcycle.

Wow, me too, the family thing. I admire your ability to step back from it. I keep trying to fix what's happening with mine. Currently my mother is at retirement age, has huge mobility issues but considers herself above collecting any government money (pension). She only has 30k in superannuation and plans to withdraw that entirely to do over her kitchen, in one go. And that's not even scratching the surface of the crazy.

You reached the end
