Anyone played the truck simulator games? The price is great, but I'm not sure what the gameplay "feels" like, and I'd rather hear from folks here than search YouTube
I’ve been playing then on and off for 10 years or so, mostly with a wheel. They’re relaxing and I love listening to podcasts or audiobooks while driving around. I find the graphics pretty solid as well and prefer American Truck Simulator for the scenery (I’m from Europe but find the deserts in the US really fascinating).
Played Euro Truck simulator with driving wheel. It's a fun and relaxing experience, and driving the truck or changing gears is easier than it seems. It has some challenge, especially when you deliver fragile or heavy items, but it's not extremely punishing or realistic.
With keyboard the game is clunky, but still viable.
SCS's truck sims? They're great games, very chill driving while listening to radio or watching something on a second screen. And you can customize the level of sim-ness you want but it's ok for both kb+m and wheel. Great community too. My gripes with them are that graphically the games are getting really long in the tooth and SCS seems to be unable or unwilling to do better and have instead been doing piecemeal map dlc for years now ( in their defense their newer maps are a lot better then what the game started with ). Btw, for map expansions you can also get the promods mods, which are huge map and gameplay expansions, but iirc they require the full game+dlc.
Some games have demos, most of everything else has a 2 hour window for refunds no questions asked, worst case if it doesn’t speak to you after an hour, just refund it
