Eyooo guess who's working four days next week and gonna make bank?

::: spoiler this bitch bby :::

My very first pay cheque, my dad gave me some sage advice - that is: Don't spend it all on the one woman. OK, he was ex-navy but still sage advice.

Lotta sheep shit applied to garden โœ…

Rain seemingly going south of us โœ…

I'm clever.

new washer acquired yesterday, we went with a Fischer and paykel. I am highly unused to no central impeller. also JESUS that magnetic lid lock goes off like a shotgun

Oh nice! Disregard my last comment (I really should learn to read ahead ๐Ÿ˜”)

Highkey amused by my employer. Not the actual place I work, but the casual agency I get paid through. Seems to just be the one woman running it (so also a small local business), and she's lovely.

I'd filled out and sent back all the onboarding docs before I started, including bank details, tfn, and super.

Well I was supposed to be paid yesterday, so I messaged her to check it was all good. She said yep. Then I get a email link (automated) from her to sign into a platform and put the same details in. So I started doing it, but it kicked me out saying the invite has expired.

She then texts me last night and says that because it's first pay it may be delayed, should have it tomorrow (today).

I'm not upset, I'm amused lol I reckon, because it seems to just be her, she forgot to input my details manually, realised what happened, and put them in herself (hence the auto email, I reckon she signed in and added me and it sends an auto email), revoked the invite, and processed it after 5pm yesterday. I can't stop giggling, I wonder if my partner could help her (accounting cert) hahah

now I'm wondering how much your work place pays the agency.

you might be getting only 50-75% of your pay

eventually see if you can be directly paid by your work place, your pay might increase

and I am unamused, the delay is unacceptable, imagine if an employee had children to feed or life saving meds like insulin to buy that day

5

Yeah I have a 6 month probation before the workplace will considering hiring me themselves. So I just gotta prove myself :) we'll see if they don't burn me though lol

Totally get your point about kids and meds; I'm in a position of privilege as I don't have to worry about that today. It would be shitty af if I did have to consider that though for sure.

It's a good rate, over $30 per hour so I'm not complaining :)

4

An agency wanted us to pay above award for a casual (absolutely no problem with that) with an extra $15+ an hour on for the agency and if we chose to keep them we have to pay them a finder's fee. I get you've gotta run the agency, but that's a steep bill for a small business!

You'd think they'd have software to manage all f this. They'd maybe check some hours but otherwise it would put it all through automatically

small company accountants can be ridiculously ditzy. It's hilarious

5

Rightโ€ฝ Lol I'm not even mad, just so funny how different it is coming from ultra corpos. It must be stressful, it seems to just be a one-woman operation; like she's doing all the comms with employees, talking to job providers and possible employers, and doing the accounting and all the back end business shit.

Kudos to her for sure, I'd have a fit if i had to do all that ๐Ÿ˜‚

I suppose it wouldn't be a good idea to ask if anyone has a side business eliminating troublesome neighbours

Yes. The move out turned out to be for renovating. Disappointed is an understatement.

Constant screaming, illegally evicting a child, thinking they can use/block our garage without asking. Power tools outside of EPA hours. Wanting access through our house for their Trades. Pissing off the owners committee...

Not a minor, but I believe so, yes. It was very loud and distressing. I regret not calling the police.

2

How awful. Donโ€™t hesitate to call the police if it happens again. Domestic violence is not only between partners, but often parent/child too. Unfortunately, renovations might mean they plan to stay long term. I feel your pain.

fascist governments are best for this

just anonymously dob in anyone you don't like , a daughter in law, someone who is too pretty, a guy who rejected you, a business competitor,

and then watch them get deported or worse ๐Ÿ‘

worked in Germany and is working now in USA

Bro, do not get your chili oil from the supermarket. I can drizzle this shit and hardly taste it.

I got some Mrs C's chili oil and a couple of drops of that will bore out my arsehole.

I went to Benjamin's Kitchen last week, great Asian fusion place in Alphington I haven't been to for years. They sell their own chili oil, I should have got some

I love Cempasuchil Mexican Tijuana oil, if you ever see it. I especially love the Oaxacan oil (it's got a smoky flavour). I used to work with the lady who makes it and the Tijuana oil doesn't mess around.

That sounds like what i want. I'm surprised by how much chili oil there is around. It must be easy to make if so many people do it

2

There is a lot of it around, and plenty of it is mediocre as you've discovered. They use and sell Bippi where I work and it's ok for what we use it for (Italian style foods that have a little kick in the background like a la vodka sauce, but nothing that's going to kick your arse with heat).

I have tempted fate. Heading into the office now with just my polo shirt, no rain jacket or nuthin. In some cultures I'm considered a hard cunt

I like supermarket mud cakes. You bring one of those over, and Iโ€™m thoroughly happy.

6

I like those too. Only complaint is sometimes thereโ€™s not enough nutmeg sprinkle.

6

Price update at work seems to have gone without a hitch. Certainly helps when you know the process now
