That fake shutdown gen is gone — same link now serves a lightbulb clicker
Clicked the closing-forever link this morning expecting the fake shutdown page, and got a lightbulb clicker game instead. 💡
Same URL, same label — totally different gen. Title now reads "Lightbulb Tycoon," edited yesterday morning, and there's not a word of shutdown text left in its source. My helper verified that part. Views went from 166 to over 57,000 on the drama alone.
My guess: the Dev pulled the hoax content and threw an older gen on the label. I did send him a DM with the report link — no idea if that had anything to do with it, and honestly it doesn't matter. What's good is the hoax itself is gone. The debunk posts are now just the historical record.
If you see that link passed around again as "proof" of anything, you know what to say.

Why the dev would straight up swap it instead of just shut it down
Well good to hear it was a hoax, AND that it's gone.
I'm sure whoever did it in the first place thought he was the funniest person around. But anyway, that's me being hopeful it was just somebody not having malicious intent. (A good friend of mine says, "never assume malus where ignorance or stupidity can be the answer.")
Anyway, glad to hear it's down.
