I recommend a person AND some little critter(s). I have a person and 4 creatures and coming home to them is absolutely the best part of my day and makes it all worth it.
True. My magical little creature purpurpurs and rubs against me and everything is all better again. We don't deserve them but I couldn't survive without them.

He shows me what's truly important, food, snacks, sleep, rest, naps, play, walks, drink water, and making sure strangers don't get too close.
