The irritating thing is the account plays on the current problems in the US right now and the anger a lot of people are feeling towards everything going on at the moment. There’s a lot of posts you could look at and say “yeah, they’ve got a point”, except that’s sort of the aim of the account; to draw people in by posting content that resonates with the reader, then push them one way while moving the political post so that anyone not as left as you is an enemy. Their account is trying to manipulate readers and drive a wedge between groups because it’s easier to conquer and control smaller subsets than it is to control the whole.

I find just calling them a fucknugget, disengaging, and letting them stew while you ignore their response is the most therapeutic way to deal with them.
Its proven both the CIA and Russia engage in extreme meme warfare. Who really knows, but i would absolutely not be surprised if a significant amount of accounts in the lemmyverse are run by them for their nefarious divisive purposes. Good investigation.

Mostly this community is about noticing weird ass patterns my guy. Kinda wish I’d know about it before cause I’ve discussed some weird ass on goings before such as a person who ran these weird hit and run accounts posting then self deleting and if you called them out they made multiple throwaway accounts using your username, then brigaded your post and comment history.
There’s a guy who makes multiple accounts to post AI cannibal gore that pops up from time to time. I’ve actually seen the dude on multiple social media sites. Some dude with no life.

Besides the fact that the account "woke up" 3 months ago, I don't see anything particularly wrong or suspicious with the content posted.
Dems and Reps are both sides of the same imperialist coin: the former being for those easily swindled, naive, or aware but pretending to have at least a dash of morality whilst enjoying the fruits of imperialistic resource extraction, the latter being for white supremacists and hateful people in earnest.
Ukraine IS, at least since Euromaidan, basically just an American FOB, more recent but with a similar purpose as Taiwan (the "unsinkable carrier", quoting general McArthur). And, whilst similarly to the ICE/police/army grunt chuds in America, a good chunk of Ukrainian soldiers are straight up Nazi cosplayers, tattoos and everything. In the end, it's almost always white supremacy fueling the lust for destruction in most violent Europeans, so that's nothing new. And notice I haven't mentioned Russia or China or Iran or whatever, these things are true independently of those countries and what is known and/or said about them.
Don't worry though, whilst violent revolution would certainly be part of whatever American possible reconstruction (you get pepper sprayed for sitting in a park, any real change will be met with police and even army violence), simply because America is not a real society but a group of amoral, unimaginative, antisocial and often sociopathic competitors all seeking the bag for hedonistic pursuits and/or power, it will never come to pass. Well, never say never but, were I a betting man, the conclusions seem obvious.
He doesn't need to provide solutions, that seems like a task for a whole civilization or at least its think-tanks, but he's already stated what is and what wouldn't work, which seems good enough of an individual effort. Now, the question is: are you ignorant or paid for? After all, as long as Americans believe they have a working democracy and play along, everyone up top is happy. You know from the Russian perspective the CIA has been funding Nazis in Ukraine for many years. Accepting Ukraine into NATO is seen as imperial expansion by the West.
Even if Russia is the aggressor you must accept that NATO played it's part.
There is no honour for either side. The situation is fucked and is a complete failure of diplomacy.

Maybe don't make russia sound like some sort of victim here trying to defend themselves. russia has been stealing territory from its neighbors for basically its entire history and there is precedent and damn good reasons for countries wanting to join NATO to prevent further russian imperialism and atrocities. Ukraine does not belong to russia, russia needs to get the fuck out, and no one is looking to attack russia.
