Zip ties might be the unique "technological distinctiveness" they are trying to integrate into the collective by assimilating the humans...

Huh, why have we never seen any of the Engineers ever replicate some zip ties or duck tape?

Don’t they phaser-weld? I know they use phasers to cut through bulkhead doors and stuff on occasion, but I feel like there are scenes where they use the same mechanism to weld things for repair as well.. Perhaps they made a point to only build with materials that could be repaired that way? And depending how phaser-welding works, that could be a wide range of materials.

Imagining Geordi managing Hugh's cables like he's braiding his hair

I regularly tell my partner "I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt!" And they stare at me blankly because they've never seen Mommie Dearest.

It's blocked in the UK. But otherwise isn't well liked, but I forget the reasons.

If you consider unnecessary government invasions of privacy under the pretense of "protecting the children" from sharing memes a form of enshittification, then yes.

It's only access to the site/app and embeds that UK users are missing out on, though. Anything downloaded from Imgur and then uploaded elsewhere will behave like it always did 🤷🏻

I'm not in the uk so no. Not a concern for me

But they did get bought out by medialab during Covid, who promptly fired half the staff, fucked with user content and stuffed it with more ads than was entirely reasonable.

Especially galling considering the screenshot is from a UK show! I'll try to remember to not link to it in the future for accessibility. Thanks!

This is how I learn IKEA sells cable management.

IKEA coffee is decent enough if you're not a snob, and the price is similar to low-end coffee at the grocery store here. IKEA sour gummis weren't as sour as I'd hoped, but again, pretty good price to quality ratio. Their soft drinks feel a bit weak tasting, but then you look at the sugar content and realize it's significantly less than e.g fruit juice. And price just about matches mass-produced soft drinks at grocery stores that are way worse for you.

Just so many cool things you can buy from there, per unit count I usually leave with more food and knickknacks than furniture.

I'm not ashamed to say I've swung by IKEA when just nearby, not because I needed anything, but to grab some froyo. They have incredible froyo.

You reached the end
