Has anyone actually seen the "Come Outside" plane flying around back then when it was still airing or being shot? Would love to hear people's thoughts if they remember.
No it was a viral advertising campaign during the 60s for the baudy CarryOn films.
It encouraged people to strip down to their undergarments and leave their houses if they saw the plane, and if you didn't and someone saw you, then you got "dobbed" on which is sort of like teabagging but more civilized
We have most of them downloaded because unlike today’s children’s TV, kids can watch it without developing epileptic seizures and ADHD. I’m only half joking.

What’s the ‘come outside’ plane? Was that a wwii thing?
e: these responses are diametrically opposed. Was it a children’s thing or an NSFW adult thing? I am so confused now.
It was an old UK children's TV program. Featuring a white plane with polka dots on it flying about the country. Wonder if they still do it

I read the Wikipedia link and I still don’t understand what this is. It doesn’t ring a bell from my childhood.
It’s a children’s’ TV show - a lady and her dog, flying around and visiting various places, often related to nature. You can find some of the episodes on YouTube. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLhOnau-tupSD15TezN59asHKmBlGx6rF
