A question about taking over moderation

Hello! I created my account about six days ago, and I found a community with inactive moderator for three years. Can I request to take over it? I didn't find any requirement in the TOS regarding account age, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks.

You kind of need to say what it is....

But yeah, if there's no mods admins have to handle reports, so they tend to give communities to people who volunteer.

I've made posts here requesting a community, I've mentioned in a report that I could mod since there wasn't one, and I've had admins just reach out and offer, but that was when .world was just starting and a lot of accounts made communities and abandoned them.

Like, just ask. There's no need to ask if you can ask.

But be prepared that it might be months later when someone reaches out if you still want it.

We definitely don't always grant requests, but it truly hurts nothing to ask. I'm willing to take a look at a specific community you might have in mind, sure.

To speak frankly, I'd like to see a little more time and activity on your account. Here's what I'd request from you: Start posting there some, and come back to me in one month. If I see you putting in that time, I'll be a lot happier to hand moderator over to you. Right now, you're a very new account, which is great - nothing bad I see - but I would just prefer to see you around a little more, then I'll be happy to. :)
