Even Fox joined the boycott, is there still hope?

They don’t have any credibility if they are the only ones. They need the conflict.

I really wonder how long this particular hissy fit will last. The media gives him the attention he craves. No cameras or reporters to yell at might hurt his thin little ego more.

This should have been done in the first month of his presidency but hey, better now than never and better right before the midterms than never. I'm an atheist but I still thank God every day for sending us such an incompotent senile fascist. We are so lucky, if he'd had even a modicum of self-control or intelligence this could have been so much worse.

As Douglas Adams put it:

The President in particular is very much a figurehead — he wields no real power whatsoever. He is apparently chosen by the government, but the qualities he is required to display are not those of leadership but those of finely judged outrage. For this reason the President is always a controversial choice, always an infuriating but fascinating character. His job is not to wield power but to draw attention away from it. On those criteria Zaphod Beeblebrox is one of the most successful Presidents the Galaxy has ever had — he has already spent two of his ten presidential years in prison for fraud.

He's not the real problem. He never was. He is literally the distraction.

The power of the executive branch has massively expanded since the time of Douglas Adams.

I understand that it is fiction, but the context in which that fiction was written vs now is different.

Honestly shocked that it took them this long to show some fucking solidarity.

Maybe if they stopped covering him when he started vervally attacking the media back in 2016 we wouldn't have ever been in this mess in the first place.

Not being in the media focus must be the closest to death penalty Trump can think of.

Maybe they can instead report the REAL news then. How about a constant steam about the Epstein Files and how they still haven't released them?

Doesn't matter, he's trying to make Trump TV the only access

Is this a nail in the coffin moment for traditional media? Trump just launched a YouTube channel to replace them. Remember who was front row at the inauguration.

I’m wondering if he’s trying to make traditional media less relevant to have better control of the new media such as YouTube, TikTok etc. Also, the fact that his base is already siloed into Truth / Fox / Joe Rogan a makes it easier for the party to control the narrative.

Wipes brow; at least I didn't have to read the word "Breaking."
